2010 Contest
It's never too early to begin looking for photo opportunities of Science and Nature in Colorado for the 2010 photo contest. Entries will be taken next October. Be taking lots of pictures. I look forward to your creativity.

2009-2010 Photo Contest
Science and Nature in Colorado
For the last two years, the science department has hosted a photo contest called “Science and Nature in Colorado”. It is now time to think about the contest for the new school year. The following rules apply to the 2009-2010 school year.
CONTENT: The photo must have been taken in Colorado and in some way exemplify science and/or nature.
WHO MAY ENTER: Anyone attending McClave Schools. The STUDENT must have taken the photo.
WHAT IS THE PRIZE: The student will receive a small poster of his/her photo in a protective plastic case and a copy of the photo will hang in the science classroom as long as they are a student of this school.
DEADLINE: I will begin accepting entries on October 1. The final day to email an entry to me will be October 31.
FORMAT: two choices
- Pictures may be sent digitally as an attachment to: j.smith@mcclave.k12.co.us
- Pictures can be saved onto a CD and given to Mrs. Smith at the school (before or after school.)
NUMBER OF ENTRIES: Students may make two entries per school year.
TAPED TO THE BACK OF EACH ENTRY or included in the email: Student’s name and a brief commentary of the circumstances of the photo
NON-WINNING PHOTOS: CD’s be available to the contributor in Mrs. Smith’s room anytime during the second week of May. Those not retrieved will be disposed of.
DECISION: The decision will be made the week after the deadline. Mrs. Smith will narrow the field to 5 photo. The Art Department and a small committee of adults will make the final decision.
